This morning brought Dr. Jeff up the always dangerous Rte.95 to spend the day on the briney. Despite a lousy weather forecast we headed out in search of the elusive striped bass. The first stop was like fishing in the desert so we moved on. The next stop produced a nice sized bluefish and we saved the fly. The next two hours were a boat ride. We came on a small bass blitz and they were hungry. Soon after we were in the middle of a large blitz that lasted for three hours. We were the only boat there for over an hour. We ended up with too many fish to count. As usual the forecast was only correct in that it was a chilly start.
