We just finished up two weeks of lousy weather which had thick fog most days. The one highlight was taking our granddaughter Avery along with her friend Aubrey. The girls decided they wanted to bottom fish and that they did. Caught a bunch of short fluke, some sea bass and scup and a couple of skates. Pretty fun day with Gail as acting Mate for the day.
Today John brought his dad Ralph back for their annual father son trip. We left early with very little wind and an ebbing tide under good cloud cover. Couldn’t ask for anything better. No one told the fish. We tried a dozen different flys in a dozen different places. We had one hit and that one broke off after a minute or so. We will keep trying.
